  • About Kappa Delta at Michigan State University

The women of Kappa Delta sorority pride themselves with their Open Motto-- striving for that which is honorable, beautiful and highest. Members foster the development of their time-honored values within the context of friendship. Kappa Delta is committed in providing opportunities and experiences that inspire women to greatness. Kappa Deltas are involved both inside and outside the chapter, with office holders on student organizations, athletes in club and intramural sports and scholars in the honors college. Being a Kappa Delta signifies community involvement, leadership and sisterhood that go far beyond one’s college years.

    Philanthropy Event: Shamrock Golf Classic

Every Spring, Kappa Delta hosts a Shamrock 5k with proceeds going directly to Prevent Child Abuse America. This year it will be hosted on campus on April 6, 2013! The event not only raises a great deal of money but involves chapter members, family, and other members of the Greek community.

Beyond Kappa Delta's main philanthropic event, the women of Alpha Alpha support a number of initiatives including the Confidence Coalition and Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. The women have adopted a local Girl Scout troop to hold events with throughout the year. They also hold a Go Confidently Day on campus each spring to promote self esteem among young adults.
